Originally starting as a distribution company out of Australia, Cash Only started to make apparel under that moniker in 2018, as a side hustle geared towards a celebration of the golden era of skateboarding, rap music and pop culture that many of us grew up on, and still idolise to this day. The ethos and inspiration for the brand is derived from when stores only accepted cash, in the days before smart phones and Youtube, when pants were big, and dreams were bigger. Cash Only are a high-spirited brand dedicated to honouring their rough-and-ready skate roots. The collective brainchild of Garth Mariano and Matt Evans, AKA the creative geniuses behind both skater owned and operated Butter Goods and Lo-Fi out of Perth. Australia-based Cash Only turn to old-school film culture, ‘90s street styling and urban undertones to help plant their unrivalled aesthetic with firm footing in the contemporary skate scene. The current Cash Only roster consists of Humidity and Butter Goods very own Philly Santosuosso, DC's Aleka Lang, and hailing from Portugal, Adilson Pedro.
