The Nike x HUF Pear Green Air Max 1 Coming Soon

Good news for HUF and Nike fans alike! This Saturday, the highly anticipated Nike x HUF Pear Green Air Max 1 will be hitting the proverbial NOTE shelves. 20 years since the two iconic brands first joined forces, Nike and HUF have come together again to re-release a mega shoe from 2004.

We’re stoked to see Nike and HUF teaming up once more and with a doozy of a drop.

A closer look at the design

The Anthracite/Pear-Medium Grey-Flat Pewter colourway is a classic collab from the two brands. The combination of various shades of Grey and the striking green accents make for a highly wearable trainer. The use of some top-notch materials (something we’ve become accustomed to seeing from Nike SB), make the question of whether you could/would/should skate these a tough one to answer. If they’re good enough for Nick Matthews though, they’re probably worth trying a back smith in.

HUF’s Legacy

HUF’s legacy in skating is celebrated with this collaboration. Founded by the NYC legend Keith Hufnagel, HUF has been at the forefront of skate culture, known for its bold designs and authenticity. The Nike x HUF Air Max 1 embodies this, merging HUF’s style with Nike’s renowned Air Max technology. From record-breaking socks and skate shoes to heavy clothing and an even heavier roster, HUF have managed to stay at the forefront of the industry ducking and weaving to stay on top.

The Air Max 1

For those of you not in the know, the Nike Air Max 1 is a legendary trainer.

Drawing inspiration from Paris’ Pompidou Centre, the Nike Air Max 1 was designed to showcase its innovative Air cushioning technology, much like the iconic building reveals its structural elements. The cushioning unit, visible in the heel, was the largest Nike had ever used and aimed to provide runners with exceptional support. Since its launch in 1987, the Air Max 1 has cemented its place as one of the most iconic trainers in history, continually evolving while maintaining its celebrated legacy. While these aren’t the type of Nikes we usually stock here, at NOTE, we’re hyped to have the Air Max 1 on the roster.

How to snag a pair

These bad boys are set to release on Saturday at 8am on our releases site. The first opportunity to buy the Nike x HUF Air Max 1 Shoes Anthracite/Pear-Medium Grey-Flat Pewter will go to our most loyal and best customers that subscribe to our email newsletter. The email will be sent at 8:00am 22/06/2024 to a limited number of people that our computer algorithm has identified as good NOTE customers. All your in store and online purchases count towards getting chosen as long as you use your email when you check out. We do this to ensure that only real people get to order one pair and the stock doesn't get gobbled up by greedy bots or gangs of proxies. Please don't ask us to put you on the newsletter list, simply subscribe and the more you shop with us the more likely you are to get the releases email.  If we have any remaining pairs left after the newsletter release, they will be available in the NOTE Thomas Street shop later in the day.
