UPDATE - NOW ON SUNDAY: GOOSESIDE JAM
UPDATE: It wouldn't be a Manc skate jam without some weather hez! Rain looks pretty certain on Saturday so the Jam has been moved to Sunday!
Toys 'R' Us closed it's doors many years ago now leaving a vast derelict space where kids once pecked their parents heads to buy paw patrol. After two years of people occasionally skating the gap and some of the youngsters making it there local we thought it would be nice to build a ledge, which then spawned another ledge. Those perfect ledges then gave birth to a bank and wallie barrier thanks to a dedicated squad of keen and under nourished builders.
Each obstacle paving the way for the next and over a year and a half we have what in my opinion one of the best skate spots Manchester has ever had. The flat ground is perfect, reminiscent of Californian sidewalk slabs or even better and when the suns out the vibes are high.
Fast forward to August 23 and it's looking better than most skateparks and time for a Jam. Get down on the 26th for good times with prizes galore.
